The Nigeria National League (NLO) has commended its partnership with New Year Mega Lottery, citing the significant impact it has had on the development of grassroots football in Nigeria.
The Nigeria National League (NLO) Chairman, His Excellency , Silas Agara, said that the partnership has provided vital funding and resources to support the growth of grassroots football in Nigeria.
“ The partnership has helped to raise the standard of competition in the NLO, with teams competing more fiercely than ever before.
“We are delighted with the partnership with New Year Mega Lottery. Their support has been instrumental in helping us achieve our goals, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration,” he said.
Agara also identified strengthening media partnerships as a crucial strategy for driving growth and development in Nigerian football.
“ We also look forward to strengthening our media partnerships, as they play a vital role in promoting sports and football.
“ With their support, we are confident that 2025 will be even more exciting than 2024.
“ And we hope that we would do more of what we have done in 2024.
And we hope to have a good relationship with mega lottery in 2025.
The crowd’s enthusiasm is a testament to the passion and excitement that local football brings.
“ We are grateful for our partnership with the New Year Mega Lottery, which has given us the support and resources needed to succeed.
“ The partnership has driven us to work harder and achieve better results.
“ I am thrilled with the excitement generated by local football, the impressive turnout, and the high standard of officiating.
“ As we conclude the year with the NYML-NLO Super 8, we look forward to next season,” he said.
With the NLO being the largest league in Nigeria and Africa, we expect significant growth and development.
“ Our Annual General Meeting ( AGM) is coming forth in January 2025 which will bring together all clubs to chart a course for the way forward .
“ We hope to continue our partnership with the New Year Mega Lottery in 2025, exploring new packages on ground and let’s know what we need to do on our own side and to add value to the level of which we have taken the local football to.
“ We need to go beyond the level we are today . And it’s will be in the service to,at the local football come beyond this level we find ourselves today.
“Our goal is to surpass our current achievements and take local football to the next level,” he said.
The presentation of the key to the winner of the league will undoubtedly generate more excitement and participation in 2025 by all the local team football we have in the country’s.
