The Agrovest reality TV show is set to be unveiled in Nigeria, with the goal of encouraging youth participation in agriculture and agro-businesses.
According to Emmanuel Abuhson, the convener of the Agrovest Reality TV, the show aligns with the Federal Government’s efforts to combat food challenges and reduce unemployment among young people.
“ The 60-day agro-centric show, tagged “Show Me the Money,” promises an exciting experience, with a winning prize of N20m and an all-expense-paid trip to Rwanda for an agricultural excursion.
“ The show aims to educate and entertain participants and viewers while promoting the idea that the future of food security relies on youth involvement in agriculture.
“ Key stakeholders, including the Niger Government and Sydani Groups, have partnered with Agrovest to support the initiative,” he
Alhaji Salisu Sheriff, Chief of staff to the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, emphasized the importance of changing the way Nigerians think about agriculture and farming.
The show is specifically targeted at youths and women, who play a substantial role in food production, processing, and distribution.
By encouraging youth participation in agriculture, Agrovest hopes to contribute to the government’s efforts to address food security issues and promote sustainable development.
