In a bid to enhance his coaching skills, Nigeria Flying Eagles coach, Aliyu Zubairu, has traveled to Europe for a two-week training attachment with FC Montana in Bulgaria.
Zubairu has had a successful 2024, winning the Federation Cup and qualifying Elkanemi Warriors for the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
He also led the Flying Eagles to victory in the 2024 WAFU B U20 Men Football competition in Togo.
He will return to the country after two weeks attachment with the Club.
He is Known for his high-pressing, free-flowing attacking style of football, Zubairu emphasizes youth development.
This training course will expand his skills and knowledge, preparing him for the CAF Under 20 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
Zubairu will be leading the Flying Eagles at the upcoming CAF Under 20 Africa Cup of Nations, which serves as a qualifier for the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup.
His primary goal is to reach the semi-finals and secure a spot in the World Cup.
“Now we can focus on the Under 20 Nations Cup. Our primary target is to make the semi-final and qualify for the FIFA World Cup in 2025.
Then, we will shift our attention to winning the competition. I know we can achieve this if the team is well-prepared with quality friendly matches,” he said.
