The much-anticipated final phase of the 2024 Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) Volleyball Premier League is set to begin at the indoor sports hall of Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja from 2nd to 15th December.
The league will feature intense competition among Nigeria’s top volleyball teams, with both the men’s and women’s categories showcasing some of the most thrilling action the sport has to offer.
The men’s competition promises fierce rivalry and fast-paced action as teams from across the country battle for supremacy. The youthful Kada Kings will take on Spartan Spikers in the opening match, followed by the NSCDC facing COAS Spikers in the second match. In the third fixture, Nigeria Police Force will go up against former champions Nigeria Customs Service.
The fourth match will see Nigeria Correctional Service take on Nigeria Immigration Service while defending champions Offa VC will face former champions Kano Pillars. The final men’s game of the day will feature Sunshine Spikers squaring off against CNS Spikers.
The women’s matches are equally exciting, with a series of captivating encounters lined up. Kada Emeralds will take on NAF Rockets in the opening match. In the second fixture, former champions Nigeria Customs Service will battle highly motivated LifeCamp VC, while the third match will see two youthful sides, Olalomi Royal VC and Anambra Queens, face each other.
In the fourth encounter, Benue Queens will square off with highly experienced Nigeria Immigration Service, followed by defending champions CNS Spikers taking on a depleted Kwara United VC. The star match of the day will see NSCDC face off against COAS Spikers.
The 2024 CGC Volleyball Premier League’s final phase promises to be one of the most exciting yet, with teams leaving no stone unturned in their quest for victory.
According to Martin Melandi, Technical Director of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, matches will commence immediately after the technical meeting at 8am.
