Chairman of National Sports Commission Mallam Shehu Dikko has been conferred with Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (FNIQS).
Speaking after the conferment at the Institute’s Annual General Assembly in Port Harcourt on Friday, an elated Dikko said, “I feel highly honoured to record this great and important professional milestone, the highest professional grade. The journey that started over 35 years ago has come full circle.”
He continued, “I sincerely thank the NIQS President QS Kene C Nzekwe, FNIQS and the entire board of the NIQS for finding me professionally worthy and deserving to be conferred with a Fellow, in recognition of my professional work and role in the advancement of the QS profession and public service over the years.”
Dikko paid glowing tribute to his elder brother, Mallam Hussain Dikko for his motivation and mentorship over the years culminating in this feat.
“Indeed, I must thank my elder brother Mallam Hussain Dikko, FNIQS, Chairman ProvidusBank, who Served as President, Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors(NIQS 2000-2002), President, Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (QSRBN 2010-2017) and presently Chairman, NIQS Incorporated BOT(2024-2034), for all the mentorship and support that prepared me to achieve this professional height among others .May God in his infinite mercies continue to make things easy!”, he concluded.
