Magatakarda BSC ended Bam Projects BSC’s perfect start to the 2024/2025 Kebbi Beach Soccer League (KBSL) season with a 4-2 victory, putting them on top of the table after three games at the end of the first round in Birnin Kebbi.
Two goals from Abdulaziz Manu and a goal each from Hassan Muhammad and Abdulmalik Haruna ensured that Magatakarda secured their third win out of three games.
Peter Monday, who has been in superb goal-scoring form for Bam Projects so far, was able to score a goal alongside Nazifi Sani.
The win for Magatakarda BSC over Bam Projects followed victories against Dallatu United BSC (12-3) and Mayanan Bagudo BSC (3-0).
The second game of Matchday three between Kebbi United BSC and BBE BSC ended in favour of the former.
Two goals each from Aliyu Aliyu and Umar Aliyu lifted Kebbi United BSC to their second win of the season.
Abdulrahman Yunusa sealed the win with the fifth goal for Kebbi United BSC, while goals from Abba Aliyu, Sufiyanu Muhammad, and Abba Umar were not enough to prevent BBE BSC from their second loss of the campaign.
Also, in another match, Dallatu United BSC defeated Mayanan Bagudo BSC 3-0 in the final game of Matchday three.
Overall, Magatakarda BSC tops the table with a maximum of nine points after three games, three points ahead of holders, Kebbi United BSC and Bam Projects BSC in second and third position respectively.
BBE BSC are in the fourth position with three points, the same as Dallatu United BSC in fifth while Mayanan Bagudo BSC are yet to register any points.
The next round of the league is scheduled for December 2024.
