The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Didi Walson-Jack has tasked the 332 newly promoted directors across Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to execute more hark work as the Federal Government is repositioning the nation’ civil service to world class.

Walson-Jack made the disclosure on Friday at a dinner organizing by her office in recognition for their immense contributions in the service.

“We have a roadmap to reposition the Civil Service into a world class institution that drives sustainable national development.

“It is with great joy and immense pride that I address you today, as we gather to celebrate an important milestone in the professional journey of some of our most dedicated and outstanding officers.

“Today, we honour the newly promoted Directors of the Federal Civil Service in recognition of your hard work, commitment, and excellence.

“This is not just a moment of personal achievement; it is also a moment of collective celebration for the Federal Civil Service, as we witness the emergence of leaders who will drive us toward a brighter future. “

She said organising dinner in their honour was not just celebration but it was also a moment of reflection and a call to greater responsibility.

“As newly promoted Directors, you have reached a pinnacle

that reflects not just your personal achievements but also the trust and expectations placed upon you by the Federal Civil Service and the nation at large.”

“This is a call to  leadership, to stewardship, and to serve as beacons of integrity, professionalism, and innovation.

“Your promotion is not the end of the journey but the beginning of a more challenging and fulfilling path where your influence and impact will shape the future of our Civil Service.”

Mrs Walson-Jack, therefore, urged the newly promoted directors to embrace the reforms embedded in

the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP 2021-2025) with commitment and enthusiasm to achieve the set goals.

According to her, the FCSSIP-25 reforms are not just abstract policies, they are practical, actionable strategies designed to improve Service delivery, enhance

productivity, and create a more agile and accountable Civil Service.

“Your role is pivotal in cascading these reforms down the line, ensuring that every member of your team understands and aligns with this vision.

“ This is a task that requires clear communication, consistent engagement, and unwavering dedication.”
