The House Committee on Sports, led by Chairman Honourable Kabiru Amadu, congratulated the Super Eagles on securing qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
This achievement was sealed after Libya’s 1-0 victory over Rwanda, guaranteeing Nigeria’s top-two spot in their group D .
According to Honourable Amadu, who represents Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives from Zamfara state, praised the team’s determination and quality, stating that their early qualification is a testament to their hard work since the qualifiers began.
” I think it’s now time for us to shift attention to the World cup Qualifiers and I am optimistic that the boys can turn things around by winning all their remaining matches, especially with the quality we have in the team,” he said.
Meanwhile the Super Eagles on solidified their top spot in the group with a 1-1 draw against Benin Republic in Abidjan Thursday night .
