Nigeria’s Under 20 national team, the Flying Eagles, on Thursday secured a thrilling 2-1 victory over Cote D’Ivoire, booking their spot in the semifinals of the 2024 West African Football Union B ( WAFU B ) Under 20 championship.

In the group B, Nigeria lost 0-1 to Burkina Faso in their opener. While Burkina Faso suffered a 0-1 loss to Cote D’Ivoire.
Nigeria topped the group with a two-goal advantage and Burkina Faso finished second due to Cote D’Ivoire’s red card in their match.
The semifinal Matchup will be Nigeria of Group B winners will face Niger Republic (three points) in the semifinals.
The Flying Eagles, 2022 WAFU B champions, demonstrated resilience and determination to advance in the tournament.
