Abuja All Stars Veterans Tournament  :Unity Sports Foundation (USF) Club bounced back

 

 The  Unity Sports Foundation (USF) Club on Tuesday also bounced back from their opening day defeat to Gwagwalada All Stars, with a narrow but hard-fought 1-0 win over the highly regarded Like Minds All Stars of Kuje in the Group  C , match day two at the ongoing Abuja All Stars Veterans Tournament at the Moshood Abiola National stadium ,FIFA goal project,  Abuja.

 

USF’s resolute defending and tactical discipline were key to their victory, as they managed to frustrate their opponents and secure a much-needed three points.

This result has revitalized their hopes in the tournament, proving that they are capable of competing with the best.

Group C consists of Gwagwalada All Stars FC,Unity Sports Foundation (USF) Club ,LikeMinds AllStars, Kuje
 and Capital Sportiff Sports Club

 

 

Others saw, Apo Fitness All Stars beat Nurudeen Veterans FC 3-0  in Group D
Apo Fitness All Stars, who had suffered a disappointing loss on the opening day, rebounded in style with a commanding 3-0 win over Nurudeen FC.
Apo Fitness, known for their high-pressing style, dominated the match from start to finish, showcasing their attacking flair and strong midfield control.
The victory has reignited their campaign, and they will be looking to build on this momentum moving forward.

The presence of high-profile guests and national legends continues to add to the prestige of the event, making it one of the most anticipated tournaments in the region.

 

With the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi  and other captains of industry in attendance, the Veterans Tournament is not only becoming a showcase of football talent but also an important social event that is bringing together leaders from various sectors.

 

The tournament promises more excitement as it heads into the next round of matches.

 

 

The competition started  on August 31, 2024. The winner will take home N1 million, while the runner-up will receive N750,000, the third-place team N500,000, and the fourth-place team N250,000.
