Nigeria Customs Service struggled to win their last match of first phase of league

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Volleyball Club  struggled to win their last match of first phase at 2024 Comptroller General of  Customs Volleyball Premier League in Abuja .

Nigeria Customs Service won Nigeria Correctional  Service 3-2 (19-25.,

 25-18., 23-25 , 25-22,15-11) to record their seventh  victory .

Nigeria Customs Service started slowly and lost  the first set by 19-25.

In the second set , they put up fight against the Nigeria Correctional  Service that  yielded  25-18.

 They  lost their third set 23-25 and  they fought back to win the  last two set  respectively by 25-22 and 15-11.

Nigeria Customs Service have won seven and lost four matches while Nigeria Correctional Service won three and lost eight matches .

Coach of Nigeria Customs Service Jonah Adam, said that It was a challenging game as we fought  hard to win.

“ It’s a league,were we accumulates   points and  every match, we take it important  because is a  league.Right now we ought to be  standing around fourth or  fifth position in this first phase of the  league.

“ This is a new set of players that we have groomed and we are working on them and the most important thing is that we won our  last match of the first phase.

“ We are going to prepare for the second phase , and our targets  is that we will do our best,” he said.

 In other matches played to end the first phase of the league;CNS  lost to NSCDC (25-17,13-25,20-25,22-25 )

NSCDC, 25-17,25-21,25-19.
Nigeria Immigration Service beat Kada Kings 19-25,27-25,17-25,25-21,15-13.

 Nigeria Customs Service is the sponsor of the 2024 edition of volleyball premier league.

The league is organized by the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) in collaboration with the Nigeria Customs Service.

24 teams  which included 12 men and 12 women team’s are participated in the League.The first phase of the League which stated on August 26 ended on today.
