Kano state contingent Arrive Kaduna For
Kano state contingent are the first to arrive the venue for zonal elimination 2024.
Kano State contingent are the first state to arrived to the venue Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna for the forthcoming zonal elimination of national youth games 2024.
As the federal ministry of Sports Development fixed today August 28th to September 1st ,2024 as the date for the zonal elimination of the 8th National Youth Games which will be held in the six geopolitical zones across the Nation.
Kano contingent are to participate in six team events that includes males and females in Basketball, Handball ,Rugby and Volleyball, and Football .
While Hockey only Males respectively will participate.
A total of 191 contents both males and females athletes and organizing secretaries, coaches, accompanying Referees among other from the commercial city of Kano arrived Kaduna.
Two States from each team events will represent the North West States that include Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Jigawa and Zamfara states.
Before their departure the Kano athletes, the Senior Special Assistant on Sports to the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Jamilu Yamadawa and the Ag. Chairman of Kano state sports commission Malam Bala Shenu Sani, has urged the athletes to be good ambassadors to the state during and after the elimination.
