In a significant development for Nasarawa United, the Nasarawa State government has announced the appointment of Solomon Babanjah as the new chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League side.

The new board, which consists of six other members, is expected to resume work immediately, bringing fresh leadership and direction to the club. One of their first challenges will be preparing the team for their opening fixture of the season against Shooting Stars.
Solomon Babanjah is no stranger to Nasarawa United or to football administration in Nigeria. With over 15 years of experience as the team manager of Nasarawa United, Babanjah has played a crucial role in the club’s history and success.
His leadership has seen the club through various seasons, working with numerous reputable coaches, including Daniel Amokachi, the late Shuaibu Amodu, Bernard Ogbe, Kadiri Ikhana, Justice Tengen, Ike Shorunmu, Bala Nkiyu, Baba Ganaru, Kabiru Dogo, and many others.
Under his management, Nasarawa United achieved significant milestones, including qualifying for two FA Cup finals.
His extensive experience and understanding of the club’s dynamics have been invaluable, acting as a steadying influence for the team, popularly known as the Solid Miners.
