GUSAU/AHLAN CUP: Barau FC held Niger Tornadoes to a goalless draw
The newly promoted Nigerian National League (NNL) side, Barau Football Club and Nigerian Football Premier League (NPFL )side, Niger Tornadoes, battled to a 0-0 draw in the second match of the ongoing Gusau/Ahlan Pre-season Tournament 2024.
The match between the two teams was held on Friday at the New Jos Stadium, Plateau State.
Niger Tornadoes in the early stages of the game failed to find their chances to find the goal.
Created several scoring opportunities in the match, but the efforts were tackled by the defense of Barau FC and goalkeeper Okesina Olusegun Gedeon.
Barau FC, missed several scoring chances as Habibu came close to scoring in the 90th minute, but he failed to net a goal, and the match ended goalless.
Gedeon emerged as the king of the game following his performance.
Barau FC, will now focus on their last group A stage game with Mailantarki FC on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the New Jos Stadium at 8:00am.
