Super Falcons emerge as fifth at Paris 2024 Women’s Football Tournament Squad Age
Out of the 12 teams who qualified for the competition, Nigeria’s senior women’s national team , Super Falcons finished the women’s football event of the 2024 Summer Olympics as the fifth youngest squad.
The age of players in each squad was put into consideration in arriving at the youngest and oldest teams.
The Super Falcons reached the quarter-final of the tournament and have an average of 26.5 in age to emerged as the fifth youngest team.
While Japan has 25.4 finished as the first in the Women’s Football Tournament Squad Age.
Others saw World champions, Spain, with 25.9, fielded the second youngest squad ahead of Zambia and New Zealand (both with 25.9).
The nine-time African champions fielded a young squad ahead of the United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) with 27.0.
Brazil (27.1), Germany (27.3), Canada (27.4), Colombia (27.8), Australia (28.3), and France (28.8) have the oldest squad.
