Paris: Nigeria Wrestler, Blessing Oborodudu lost semi-final bout
Nigeria’s Blessing Oborodudu lost her semi-final bout against Meerim Zhumanazarova of Kyrgyzstan’s 1-3 in the Women’s Freestyle 68kg Wrestling event at the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
She enter the semifinal with a boost of confidence, aiming to secure a place in the final and continue her quest for Olympic glory but Zhumanazarova crunch her dream.
Oborodudu who had earlier delivered a commanding performance, defeating France’s Koumba Larroque 6-2 in a fiercely contested quarterfinal bout to reach the semifinals stage.
She will have to fight the Winner of Repechage for a Bronze Medal unlike Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games where she qualified for final.
